Jean Johnson launched Bobbin (named after her great grandmother) at the 2006 National Stationery Show, but the idea came about when creating a final project while earning her MFA in fashion design at Savannah College of Art and Design. Most recently she has relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina. Living in the South, wildlife, textiles, interior, and fashion design are all inspirations for Jean's work. Bobbin prides itself on being eco-friendly and also adopts a manatee for every show order it receives.
